I remembered it as being $10,000. Maybe you had the deluxe version in
mind that does time travel as well.
As for $2500, I'm not sure what the programmer rates are in India,
but that is roughly the value of a junior programmer for one month.
Try to imagine hiring the world's best programmer, who is so good
that programming an entire 3D engine in C in one month is so easy
that you're only charged $2500. In those terms the price is cheap.
I haven't read anything about the March date, but that's approaching
the time of the April UCON in New York. Quite often there are
conference special offers, so you could see if waiting until then
would save you a few thousand rupees.
