Depends on what you are using the text for.
I'm not a big fan of the way Director embeds the fonts, but you can try any
or all of the following if the text is just for display and not being
updated or editable.
1.) Set a pre-render option
2.) Use the "Save Bitmap" text option
3.) Create a picture cast member in an image program and import that instead
Option 3 is my favourite for static text. That way you can save a chunk of
the background with it and use the Copy ink - so very fast at drawing.
