Hi

Think a little bit outside of the box for a second... what are the settings
for the text member.. is it set to scroll or is it a fixed height? Is the
member set to adjust to fit (size will automatically increase or decrease
based on content (height wise)). If it is fixed height then setting both the
rect of the member to fix the width and the rect of the sprite to set the
height might work. On the flipside, because height is the problem... what
controls the height of the sprite on stage other than just the rect.....
perhaps something (you'll have to look into this one) pageHeight or some
property like that... so me advice is to research the other properties of
text members to see if something else jumps out at you.

Sincerely

Mark R. Jonkman

Hey Mark, thanks. Partially works, -- it fixes the width, but the height is
still huge (the new file is longer)....tried resetting the sprite again but
it's still wacky....
