You can either point the user to the QuickTime download page and not 
worry about licensing, or you can license (for free) the standalone 
installer to include on the CD-ROM.

Normally you ship the latest version of QuickTime that works for your 
content, so for QuickTime 3 or 4 content you would include the 
QuickTime 4.1.2 installer, until the day when the QT5 final is 
released, when you would switch over to including the QT5 standalone 
installer.
