Ooh... not necessarily. It's standard on Macs, but not on Windows. Some
individual manufacturers of Wintel boxes may have licensed QT, or the
software that ships with it or is installed may have installed QuickTime.
But don't count on QuickTime being installed on Win Machines. You can
detect QT installation via JavaScript on most browsers, or VBScript on IE
5.5. T
he VBScript approach has some limitations--it can detect an activeX
plug-in, but QT didn't become ActiveX until, I believe. 4.1. So, on IE 5.5,
you can tell if QT 4.1 or later is installed, but not, say, 4.02. Since IE
5.5 doesn't support the JavaScript plugin array, there is no good way that
I know of to find out about non-ActiveX plugins.
