The sound playback utilities of Director does not give away any 
information about the actaul data of the samples being played, such 
as the waveform level at a certain sample point. You _might_ do it by 
using Amplitude Xtra, but I don't remember exactly what it was 
capable of:

I do not think you will have any use for Beatnik Xtra.
