Well, while Al is the audio engineer, I am just a programmer type.
What I know is that if I try to string together a bunch of notes
(even if they are the same note like, C, C, C, C, etc.), using a
Director sound object, I can hear the click between notes. I don't
know or care if the problem lies in Director, a low level sound
manager/mixer, the operating system, or deep in silicon at the chip
level. All I know is that when I try to do this in Director, it
results in an unacceptable click between the notes. I don't know if
other programs can do this without a click. Although it sounds like
Al is pretty sure that this is a Director only thing. Using the
Sequence XTRA to build a MIDI song on the fly has solved this problem.
