There are lots of Xtras that handle opening PDFs. Suffice to say that
MasterApp is not necessarily the easiest nor the cheapest (and keep in mind
that Al works for updateStage, the publisher of that Xtra--I'm not knocking
Al, I'm just making sure you knew that his opinion may not be unbiased).

Also suffice to say that my company (Zeus Productions) also offers an Xtra
that opens PDFs (assuming Acrobat is installed. See zOpen at
http://www.zeusprod.com/ftp/  That url gives you access to a demo version
of the Xtra, plus a sample movie and behavior that opens PDFs (very easy to
implement).

There are other routes as well. You can open PDFs with the Buddy API xtra,
which is probably cheaper than my solution if you have some Lingo skill.

There is also a PDF Xtra from Integration New Media that may give you the
most seamless solution, as it opens the PDF as a Director cast member. I
don't know its cost.
