Truly no problem to run it, giving my experience.
In 640 x 480, sound compression will have a much lower impact on file size
than video. You can get very different performance results with various
codecs.
Just for fun, if PC only compatibility is needed, take a look at standard
avi format (no need to worry about QT installation) and use the very
impressive mpeg 4 codec in Microsoft implementation. I use it myself with 30
fps (!!!) 640 x 480 video and very high bit rate without any problem on PIII
600. The quality/size ratio with MS mpeg4 codec is blazing IMHO, and much,
much superior to what i get with the standard Sorenson codec (admitedly, i
don't have Media cleaner pro), or with mpg codec. Indeo (version 5) is also
to look at in the PC world.
