d702 was an Update that included some minor feature work (mp3, qt4).

I'm disturbed to find Director 8.0 characterized as 'bug-ridden'.
Director 8 was focused on quality, ease-of-use and stability.
I feel it achieved these goals well.

New features always involve the risk of introducing new bugs (such as
the PI-redraw issue that was addressed in d8.5).

The fact that the Director team detailed the bugs fixed in d8.5 does
not mean that d8 was buggy. It means that the team was forthcoming
and communicative.

"Molested"?
What bugs addressed by d8.5 rate this description?

More false logic -
Updates to Text (specifically the Text Xtra) are not independent of
3D since Director 8.5 now has 3D text capabilities.
