I've found that Director reads Photoshop's Alpha information fine 95% of the
time.  Once you learn the quirks, it's very reliable.  If you have some
money to spend, I highly recommend the Photocaster Xtra.  It lets you import
Photoshop files with Alpha info (each layer to a separate member) and saves
a LOT ot time and hassle.

Director does not read Photoshop's alpha information correctly. There is a
length article on Director Online that solves this, but I've alwyas found
that using PNG format is a lot quicker.

Do your rollovers in Photoshop then save the individual images in PNG format
then bring them into Director.
