I was a bit confused where exactly to attach the above script. I first
placed it on the QTime sprite and the volume didn't change. I then copied
it and placed it with the exitframe script, and still didn't notice a
change. So next I attached it to the sprite as well as placed it in with
the exitframe script and still no difference.
Fixing the volume in QuickTime would of course be the best solution, but at
this time it's just not possible.
