Since you're using D7 you won't be able to pause and continue an internal
sound from the paused location. [That capability was added to D8 and is as
easy as sound(x).pause() & sound(x).play()].

You can, however, do it with *inserted .SWA members*

on mouseUp me
 member("mySwaMember").pause()
end

on mouseUp me
  member("mySwaMEmber").play()
end

If you don't want to use swa, or if your sounds need to be internal to the
movie,
starting the sound again is the only option. Since this is acceptable to
you,

just stop the sound when you need, and then re puppestSound.
