I think you can't import MIDI music into Director. I don't know what this
xtra do but you can import to Director 8 WAV, AIF and MP3 files. Of course
you'll have to make some considerations when using these formats depending
on your project's needs. I use external AIF files when making titles that
will be running on Macintosh and PC.

I hope this helps.

Subject: <lingo-l> Beatnik Xtra

Hi,

I am a Director newbie. Would be grateful for some help.

I am interested to import midi music files into my project, using Director
8. I have quite a few files to import.

This requires a Beatnik, I think. How do I go about using the Beatnik?

Is there any other way to import music files into Director?

Thank you
