Hi,

I've used the Directmediaxtra on Windows 2000 and it works ok, there was an
update recently.

With regards to compression I have always had good results with the
panasonic mpeg compressor and the LSX mpeg compressor which was packaged
with a Matrox RT2500 I bought recently. I'm sure you must be able to by the
compressor separately though.

I hope this helps.

Best regards

Neil

Hello,
I also try to make a CD-Rom can ply Mpeg using Director,I also look for the
MpegXtra to help, however, I dun know they have upgrade it or not, last time
I check it said cannot use in Win2000, so finally I giveup to buy that xtea,
I think you should make sure it work in all OS first.
