I REALLY do not recommend it! Q: why?
A: My computer (2x 1600X1200 on W2000) sez: -- Welcome to Director -- put the desktopRectList -- [rect(0, 0, 3200, 1200)] using your method with this desktoprectlist would give you a# extreme distortion (not 4:3 aspect ratio, but 8:3) b# a screen buffer of a whopping 15 megabytes (3200*1200*4bytes) to clog up your app... c# the scaling method used by director equals the "nearest neighbor" method in Pshop, meaning bad scaling results... So Fulton, If you have been using that method please reconsider.
