This is one of those situations where we don't have enough information. Allow me to say that the script provided is not guaranteed to work because there are so many other variables to be considered.
Are there any film loops on that frame? Is there audio playing? Is the audio synced to animation? etc. If so, then the script will not pause the movie, only hold the movie at the current frame, which would have nasty side effects to the continuity. The script is sound, but unless we're talking about an automatic slide show presentation with no synced soundtrack, it's bound to be problematic. Please provide some more info so we can help you more effectively. Pausing a movie is not so simple. If I had a nickel for everytime a client said "Can you just create a simple pause button?" Simple, heh.
