For all I know, detecting the plugin for a browser is out of scope of
Director but is on HTML/Javascript. (or I maybe wrong though)

But, if you are looking for a non-cross platform solution,
you can use BuddyApi to read the Windows registry entry 
for current browsers plugin.  I just dont know the right 
registry address though.(but hey, I'd be interested to know ;)
