Colin and Christian, thank you for your suggestions. I found out a work around, though it was not very elegant. The bitmap cast member to set 'trimWhiteSpace' property should be linked to external file before setting it.
newMember = new(#bitmap) newMember.fileName = "External.bmp" -- links to an external bitmap file newMember.trimWhiteSpace = false -- sets the property newMember.fileName = "External.bmp" -- links to the file again The first time when an external bitmap file is set to the 'fileName' property of a bitmap cast member, its white space will be trimmed. After the 'trimWhiteSpace' property is set to 'false', it works with the cast member. But its center point will be not the center of the bitmap. _____ Christian Wach wrote: > Fumio Nonaka wrote: > > Couldn't the 'trimWhitSpace' property used with the 'fileName' cast > > member property? > > um, no. :( Good luck, Fumio Nonaka Phone: +81-42-397-9452 Fax: +81-42-397-9452 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.FumioNonaka.com [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/LUJ/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Lingo-L is for learning and helping with programming Lingo.
