As far as i know it works like this. Normally i would have a large number
of resources as external members
and on the cd i alter the searchpath to include all the directories with
assets on my cd this works fine for me.
what exactly is happening on your system. Are the original files still in
the same location then it will tend to
access those files i guess.but if it does not find thos files it will
definitely llok in the searchpath.

        BTW the searchpath can contain more than one path.

I'm working on something, and I'd like to hear some insight on the
searchpaths-property...

If I have a linked resource (bitmap member), will the searchpaths only
append one directory for scrutiny, i.e. if the file the linked member is
supposed to use is at the correct location, whatever I've assigned the
searchpaths to be is never scrutinized.
I'd like it to be like, whatever I assign the searchpaths to be is the
PRIMARY resource and only if that fails, does the application search the
original location... I would have hoped the searchpaths to work like
this....
