I agree with everything Brian said here, but just offering another 
option - V12.  I am currently working on an educational CD-Rom with 
lots of text.  The text is stored in a V12 database and is easily 
searchable.  Same idea, keeping the text separate from the code 
allows a "content expert" to work independently from the programmer.
