Some suggestions on for the Australian Higher Education Review:
Continue to focus on focus on educating professionals, and conducting applied research for industry, supported by fundamental research. Continue to offer online/blended learning. Have VET programs nested with university. Scrap plans for nuclear submarines, & spend $100B of the savings on a drone defence program. Discontinue the New Colombo Plan.
