I must get out the trusty spreadsheet to estimate the likely savings, or not.

Against that, most users having PV panels with no battery say their power bills
are zero or even in credit, which at first blush seems unlikely given the low
feed-in tarriff.
One day I caught an AUSGRID tech at my fuse box - he was upgrading the fuse (remember when it was time to turn something off, when the fuse blew)

I was trying to find out if there is still peak and offpeak and what the hours
are. (Remember offpeak hotwater)

but there is a new term https://www.myconnect.com.au/post/off-peak-electricity
aghast at this offer from AGL (gas)
https://www.agl.com.au/residential/energy/compare-plans/energy-offer
new term "time of use"

AUSGRID had to allow another company to put batteries in their sub-stations as
regulation does not allow them to (or did not a couple of years ago)
Privatisation of AUSGRID or Electricity Supply was offset by money from NSW gov
- the offpeak command disappeared.

We should reduce the flat daily supply cost and increase the cost of
electricity that we use.

love to hear your findings
