I think it would be good have an option for a customer to be able to pay for fibre to the premises (FTTP) to be installed, we presently have the slower fibre to the node (FTTN). I don't know how much it would cost, to install an optic fibre from the node to the premises. Maybe the government can subsidize the cost for people that want it, to make it affordable.

HFC is delivering 100Mbit to anyone connected, while FTTN depends on the

Some modems allow the SNR (signal-to-noise-ratio) margin to be adjusted, which
improves error-rate but decreases throughput.

The other big problem with FTTN, as I've remarked before, is that there's no clear
point where NBN Co's responsibility for finding & fixing faults ends and that
of the ISP and/or the hapless customer begins. This can lead to finger-pointing
and the customer being charged ~$300.

I am here for online friends, hobbies, volunteer work, and working on business ideas, and I am on Centrelink Disability Support Pension (Schizophrenia & Aspergers). I suspect that what will probably work is people who are on a Centrelink payment such as unemployed, disability, or retired, since they can benefit from me and since it allows me to give back to Centrelink, and also, if female friends then age 49+ and less attractive so that they will find me attractive, also probably overweight since I am overweight. However I can also work with highly skilled people since I can make use of what I get from them that is useful for me to be able to work with interesting concepts.
