Hi Simon,
Gulp... I have exactly the contrary: when I use H263 or MPEG4, linphone
usually crashes after a few seconds. This problem should be fixed in next
release.
I just realised, that this happens to me too - after a couple of minutes
(probably 5 or something), but Theora blows up immediately.
it displays the bandwith settings. Deleting the word "default" yet
caused the fault. You meant deleting "Unlimited" ?
Yes. But other user actions caused the same. No pattern visible. The
software is just completely unstable. :-( (memory / GUI signalling issues)
I have no idea why on this machine it crashes so many times.
The first thing we'll try is to upgrade to newest version. I've fixed various
bugs in the past weeks. I'll upload a 0.2.0 version soon.
Excellent! I'm looking forward to install it and try it out! - checking
dayly for new versions :-) (I would be present at the site of the
machine so I wouldn't have to rely on VNC. Probably there was
interference too caused by this remoting software. (delayed screen,
concurrent access of graphic card memory - whatsoever)
Install mingw32 with gdb (gcc+gdb environment for windows), then run linphone
>from gdb in the mingw shell:
gdb /c/Program\ Files/Linphone/linphone-wx.exe
run
<wait for the crash>
bt full
I hope you are familiar with gdb. The bt full command will print a backtrace
showing where linphone has crashed.
Then send me the whole backtrace.
OK, I'll do the next time I find time to play VoIP- probably this
weekend. I have a Visual Studio on the machine. MingGW doesn't interfere
does it.
Thank you for your answer and development - Greetings from Berlin
Conrad
PS: I've found an older beginning to realise an Qt interface for
Linphone. What happened to it? (a Qt GUI would be completely portable -
even for MacOS or embedded devices wouldn't it) I just learned Qt for
consulting and training a big client of us - what a pity to let my
knowledge abandonned :-)
