I am afraid I can not draw any conclusion from a Windows
error report file. Actually I have never seen one although
(of course) I have seen Windows say it generates such
files. It did however not tell me where those files reside
and I found it easier to use other debug methods.

Maybe you could try some other things first:

1) Start the slave first. It should give the message
about waiting for RAW16 input that you reported in
the first mail. Then start the master and see what happens.

2) Reverse the computers. Do not worry about soundcards,
just enable whatever you have in the machine to become
a slave. It will be a good idea to save the settings
of the master somewhere (copy par*.* C:\safe_place)
so you can copy it back afterwords. I would not be
surprised if starting a master will also cause a crash
in the computer that does not want to be a slave.

3) Copy all the files in the Linrad directory to a
new place in the master. Start the Linrad master.
Then start a second issue of Linrad in the master
computer. Set it in slave mode first by use of N,
R and W (to save). Then give it unused channels
(reversed soundcards) with U. Does the slave work
when running inside the master computer?

4) Do the same operation on the other computer.
Does it work with both master and slave in it
but with the network cable disconnected?
If it does, what happens in case you put the
cable back?

In the (likely) event that none of the above tests
points to the problem, send the error report file
directly to me if it contains readable text.
(In case it is just a memory dump I can not get
anything out of it)

If the problem stays I will send you a copy of
linrad.exe that will write a debug file that
will show exactly what system call was causing
the crasch.
