Hello Leif, My comments are added....
Maybe you could try some other things first:
1) Start the slave first. It should give the message
about waiting for RAW16 input that you reported in
the first mail. Then start the master and see what happens.
2 computers enabled on the LAN. Computer1 is the HP pavilion, 2 Ghz
Celeron 256 MBRAM
Computer2 is a Shuttle, 3 GHz Pent4, 1 GB RAM. I had to loan out the
ASUS Vintage for a few days.
Both with windows XP sp2. Computer1 is the MASTER, computer2 is the SLAVE
Results: Start the SLAVE first, all ok, listening. Start MASTER, fatal
error report. stop both programs running.
Start MASTER, all ok, then start SLAVE, fatal error report.
If I disable the LAN,the MASTER starts OK, but when starting the SLAVE,
internal error:
error in attempt to use set socket() to request
that the kernel joins a multicast group.
Starting only the SLAVE computer get the same error message.
Sounds orderly to me, LAN must be enabled.
More testing tomorrow.
The windows fatal error report points me to a file:
c:\documen~1\3\locals~1\temp\5d40_appcompat.txt
Which could not be found under MY COMPUTER but under the command prompt,
the directories could be found but not the report file. ?????
Stan, W1LE
