So, are you saying that you *do* have a problem with matching MTUs?  Or it
only works when OS/390 is the sender of the large data chunks?  I.e. you
can ftp in one direction but not the other?

I would suggest a buffer trace on OS/390 to see the content of a failing
CTC frame.
