Hi there,
This is a question related to running a Linux in a LPAR.

If a Linux residence DASD crashes I could restore the backup to a different DASD.
However, to be able to IPL the system I have to mount it to a different system in
order to change the parmfile and after running silo I can IPL the system.

This means: For a LINUX running in a LPAR I have to provide another volume with an
emergency system on it which I could IPL. Then I could do what I desribed above.

IMHO, this is really awkward.

Is there any way to do it an easier way?
