Right. The option for machines without IEEE support that floated around (...) back then was to prefix the BFP instructions with an SVC that would be handled within SIE and allow the Linux SVC handler to initiate the emulation rather than take the long route via program checks. Dunno if someone actually tried and measured it. Rob
