We're talking about z/VM Version 4. This is not your father's VM
system...or

even the one you ran in your shop years ago. Find out what's new about

(formerly Syback) into your existing CA-VM:Backup system. The benefits
of using both in tandem products will be

discussed as well as those things you should be aware of as you
implement HiDRO.

for z/VM Version 4.

    3:15 PM Break

3:30 PM Spend an HOUR or so with Jeff Savit - SUN

Going to the Dark Side of the Force What happens when a well-known VM
bigot

and user becomes an employee of the best known Unix systems vendor?

Listen to stories of (mild) culture shock, and comparisons of the VM
world and

customer mindset to vendor. Hercules - "big iron" in software

Ever want to have a mainframe at home, or on a laptop? Now you can do
that,

without chilled water, and on the same PC you use at home or office.

This session describes the Hercules open-source mainframe emulator,

describes how to get and install it, and discusses technical and
non-technical
