"An updated Oracle9i Enterprise Edition for Linux/390 (31-bit)
download is now available on OTN. This update includes some
header files missing from the initial download and fixes the
connectivity problems with Oracle on Intel platforms
(Linux/Intel, NT, Win2000).

"Also, a new download is available on OTN, Oracle9i Enterprise
Edition for z/Linux (64-bit). This version is built to run
exclusively on IBM zSeries (64-bit) hardware with 64-bit
software.

"Both downloads and their respective release notes can be found
at: http://www.oracle.com/go/?&Src=915044&Act=5 Oracle9i
Enterprise Edition for Linux/390 (31-bit) and Oracle9i
Enterprise Edition for z/Linux (64-bit) do not include
support for Java because Oracle is still waiting for IBM to
make the JDK (Java Development Kit) available. According to
IBM the JDK should be available around mid-February 2002, at
which point, Oracle will evaluate updating the OTN downloads
to include Java support (JDBC, JVM)."
