As somebody who invested a rather large amount of time in ensuring the Red Hat Linux for S/390 product offering was comprehensive, well tested, complete and able to be supported by Red Hat's A-grade global support and consulting teams, I would be happy to discuss what it is you feel the product is missing right at this point in time. If the "no program products" means "no LVM or OSA", then I am sure a Red Hatter would be more than happy to go through the finer points of these decisions, and the work-arounds that are available. Just briefly, let me clarify: - Red Hat really looks forward to the time when an LVM implementation is ready for real-world enterprise use. As soon as that time comes, you can be sure that LVM will be available to all our customers. Until then, you still have RAID (md) support enabled in the kernel and installer (TUI and GUI). - the OSA OCO modules have been released by IBM for the kernel that ships in Red Hat Linux for S/390 (2.4.9-17).
