Your
   RX bytes:168 (168.0 b)  TX bytes:496 (496.0 b)
are extremely low are you sure you are communicating over the hipersocket
connection and not backhauling through your ctc0?

We got bit by that earlier today. Fortunately we did not pop the cork on
the champagne :)

Here's the ifconfig from a system with a working hipersocket connection:

hsi0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:00:00:00:00:00
          inet addr:10.20.71.5  Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::200:ff:fe00:0/10 Scope:Link
          UP RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:8192 Metric:1
          RX packets:2 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:5 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:168 (168.0 b)  TX bytes:496 (496.0 b)
          Interrupt:5

Here's the routing:

Kernel IP routing table
