We are using 1500 for the MTU

We have applied the following PTF's to zVM
01/10/02 Applied VM PTF's  Hipersockets PTFs (UM30225 for CP and UQ61461 for TCP/IP) 
Plus UM30140.  And UM30114 for VM abend with Linux guests.

I just brought the machine up and that path is purely to talk to our z/OS
system. We've used the link for DB2 connectivity as well as normal FTP type
stuff.  What's your MTU? Do you have all the service on your system for
Guest LAN?
