Anyone know what my problem might be After dowloading the oco modules from IBM and building a new initrd image I get the following problem when i IPL after the messages "Starting the S390 initrd to configure networking. Version 045." "Please enter any parameters you need to pass to the channel device layer....." "This includes the I/O ports of your ctc , escon and lcs devices, (e.g. ................................................................) I enter the following line lcs0,0x3002,0x3003 which are the r/w address of my osa card. and then i get a User process fault: interruption code 0x7 CPU 0 Process insmod (pid:24 stackpage=008AB000) User PSW: 070de000 80442a60 Not tainted Followed by register sets and later a message that eth0 does not exist
I have also tried with CHANDEV=lcs0,0x3002,0x3003 in my lpar.lprm file but i get the same results except i do not get the prompt for the chandev info. regars tom
