I think you missed on option, and that's for CHANDEV=lcs0,0x202,0x203,1 HOST=.... :eth0:.... The part that changed between 2.2.16 and Linux 2.4 for S/390 is the Channel Device Layer. That's the same for SuSE. The Device Driver book on the DeveloperWorks web site shows the precise parameters for configuration of these drivers with the channel device layer. Rob
