I've installed redhat 7.2 GA several times now and I''ve run into these
errors.
Are others seeing the same...or am I doing some of this stuff wrong??
1. At the end of "rhsetup" the zipl command fails because the
image filename is spelled wrong in the script.
I have to create a parmfile in /boot in the new system and then rerun
zipl on my own.
Seems like I have to rename /etc/zipl.conf too...to get it out of the
way before running zipl??
2. The "instoco" OCO script that you're supposed to run after 'rhsetup'
is supposed to copy the "lcs.o" file to the appropriate directories
on the newly built system...
But the ones it copies are bad (maybe this is because I built the
ramdisk
OCO with an older/bad tar file???) and I'm forced to download the OCO
tar file
to the newly built system and run the tar extract on my own.
Then I have to copy the lcs.o mod from /lib/modules/ibm into
/lib/modules/2.4.9-17tape/kernel/drivers/s390/net/lcs.o
NOTE: the "bad" lcs.o is size 39,nnn and the good one is larger than
41nnn bytes.
3. I must remove two lines from /etc/modules.conf and leave only
eth0 lcs
....feedback from others??
Thanks,
Dave
