I have MP3000 that I am trying to install RH7.2 on in LPAR mode. I created an IPL tape with the lcs,qeth & qdio modules installed in the initrd. The system boots great but I am having a problem with the network setup script. Now I know I have to use the lcs.o module but when asked which device I am to use I believe I have to enter "eth0" and then specify my appropriate options as:
lcs0,0x716,0x717,0,0 this is obviously wrong because it does not work. my SuSE install I have the following specified in my modules.conf file: options lcs noauto=1 devno_portno_pairs=0x716,0 and works fine. on the MP3000 the read and write channels for the device I want are FC16,FC17 If anyone has some experience with this boot script and the lcs module some help would be greatly appreciated.
