I'm running SuSE 7.0 2.2.16. I have a directory, /var/log, which obviously has logs in it. Some of them appear to grow daily. Is there a document, recommendation, etc. for regularly clearing, restarting, etc. these logs?
I found the following parms in rc.config, MAX_DAYS_FOR_LOG_FILES, MAX_DAYS_IN_TMP, and TMP_DIRS_TO_CLEAR. I don't see this as the solution as some of the logs are referenced daily.
