I'm trying to find if there is REXX for Linux available.

Yes, I know I should learn Perl. However, Linux is giving me a much
higher learning curve than anything had in the last 15 years. So, since
I've been using REXX for the last ? years (VM/SP 3?), I would like to
save the Perl learning curve until I have some of my REXX applications
running under Linux.

Right now, my Linux test system (SUSE) is running on a PC. Late April,
early May, I expect to be bringing up Linux on our MP3000. So, I am
interested in REXX for both platforms.

I know there's an Object REXX somewhere, but I don't know myself
where to find it. There _is_ a REXX clone on the SuSE
(Professional) Distro, it comes with "THE" (The Hessling Editor,
an XEDIT clone) and is referred to as "Regina".

And, by the time you get around to it, Python (or it's children)
may be more useful than Perl. Perhaps even REXX...

The great advantage of Unix has been that there's at least 17
different ways to solve a problem- and none of them are "wrong".

So there's nothing wrong with Rexx/Regina as a means to an end...
