Hmm, I cannot reproduce the error with my latest gcc 2.95.2 tree (nor with 2.95.3 or 3.1 ...). Where is the compiler from? Did you build it yourself or does it come with a distribution? Which one? Do you have the latest service levels provided by the distributor?
