Chet,

I'm not sure what the problem is, but what you can do is not specify the
HOST= parameter, but instead have iucv=$TCPIP, and let the installer prompt
you for the other values. Or, specify HOST=, but leave the $TCPIP out:
HOST=linimg.marrt.com:iucv0:111.222.6.226::111.222.128.121:1492
and see if that works.

Subject: RH 7.2 Install Issues

Under VIF.... I FTP'ed kernel.img, initrd.img and redhat.prm from
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.2/en/os/s390/ and did the VIF
HYP INSTALL against it, no problems. I set my image to BOOT DEFAULT and
STARTed the image. I telnet'ed into VIF and logged onto the image and
it seems to be fine. It asks for the fqdn and I key the information,
but when I hit enter I get a CP response and the install does not
proceed.
I tried putting the install parameters in the redhat.prm file, but then
it fails on the
HOST=linimg.marrt.com:iucv0:111.222.6.226:$TCPIP:111.222.128.121:1492
saying:
 Starting the S390 initrd to configure networking. Version is 0.45.
 netiucv: Invalid delimiter '$'
And I still can't enter commands into the console session. I also tried
using the tapekrnl.img and tapeinrd.img with the same results. I'm
using PUTTY to telnet in and have never had any issues with the
currently running SuSE images or install. Any ideas?
