Hi,
look at firestarter. Its in Debian and i use it at home. Acutally i only
use firestarter to generate good sample scripts to configure the iptables
and modify/finetune them manually. Just run it one time, and after that
look into /etc/firestarter :-).
>From a gui point of view i also used before that guarddog(KDEbased).
And for NIDS, i want to look into ACID and SNORT, if i have time in the
next days.
Best regards, Joachim Jordan

Hello from Gregg C Levine
While we are on the subject, has anyone succeeded in getting the
ipchains setup to work correctly on their systems? As to your question,
Craig, I am afraid, that I do not.
