I would be curious as to what is in the log for your TCP/IP machine.
Hopefully it will give some indication as to what problem is causing the
link to be dropped.

Subject: Linux Guest apparently locked?

I'm seeing a situation under z/vm 4.2 where my sles 7.2 linux guest will
appear to be locked. I can't ping it, can't telnet in, nothing. If I use
my 3270 emulator to connect to VM and then login to the guest I see this:

RECONNECTED AT 10:21:35 PDT TUESDAY 04/30/02
B
iucv0: Remote dropped connection
iucv0: IUCV accept failed with error 20
iucv0: connected with remote side

And then I have to press enter a couple of more times and it finally frees
up.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

If the IUCV connection is being dropped by z/VM (implied by the first
iucv0 message) what are my options?
