The fatal flaw in META'a arguement is that Linux or no, mainframes are not going anywhere soon. Mainframes have been appearing in the obituary section of IT mags for quite a long time now, yet inexplicably have yet to be totally replaced by PCs :) As long as companies have these mainframes, they are going to want to utilize them to the fullest of their potential. I don't predict an awful lot of companies with no mainframe installation are going to run out and buy one just to run Linux (sorry IBM), but I cannot think of any reason why an existing mainframe shop would not want to take advantage of it. - -- Mark Earnest ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Senior Systems Programmer AIS-Infrastructure Penn State University Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Office Phone: 814-863-2064 Public Key - http://mearnest.oas.psu.edu/gpgkey.txt -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQE84yCdXIT9wt3I2GMRAgkjAJ0Zw3CdwBTmZ4Q0pKKmV0MZ6zX1eACfWpjQ 2LkaLxxuA5SyEuUqQxNIBpk= =muBj -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
