Right. That is what separates the people with a support contract from the rest of us. Getting updates from the distributor is the easiest way to have it done. I recall some time ago someone from SuSE state that they had no plans to bother with the timer patch since there was no customer demand for it. Apparently there is now. Unlike RedHat, SuSE decided to keep most of their work hidden from the general public. Our comments on whether a SuSE distribution does or does not support specific things is mostly a best guess.
