Greg, I'm using Turbo; this is the JCL I use to create the IPL tape. Are you sure you are writing the 1st file of an NL tape?

I made the IPL tape using the free distribution following the documentation to the letter. I wrote the 3 datasets LINUX390.IMAGE.TXT, LINUX390.PARM.LINE and LINUX390.INITRD.TXT to a 3480 cartridge. As far as I can tell I have done all of this correctly. I am thinking I might have a corrupted copy, however I do not get any disabled wait PSW or anything when I attempt to IPL the tape, the window message says "IPL COMPLETE". There is no error message generated to the HW console. There is no message generated to the OS messages ICON either. I know this is not a case of the drive not being configured to the LPAR, I have been there already (thanks). If anyone else had this experience with TurboLinux please let me know how you managed to get around it. Thank You Greg Evans
