Discussions I've had with IBM Hursley CICS Development have been disappointing, at best. The argument I've tried to make with them is that both CICS and Linux have some of the most coveted attributes of any software, namely great performance and high availability, which I've seen in my 23 years involvement with CICS and 9 with Linux. I've offered IBM assistance (for free) in a port of CICS for AIX to CICS for Linux, but they don't see any "business objectives" in doing this...I personally think that they are making a huge mistake, but I do understand some of the financial considerations involved. All IBM has available now is CICS Transaction Gateway for Linux/390. Steve.
