There is a bug in sysdep.S for the case non-PIC and non-reentrant. For
a "normal" compile this case is not used. How did you configure the
glibc? To get something useful the config statement should look like:

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-add-ons --enable-omitfp

Did you specify any other config options?
